Disease Statistics

Disproportionate - In a manner or to an extent which is out of proportion, inadequate, or excessive in contrast to balance, symmetry, agreement, harmony.

Collectively, African American/Black people have higher mortality than any other broadly defined racial/ethnic group for most cancers and other leading causes of death, including heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. These disparities are driven by lower socioeconomic status, which is associated with a higher prevalence of risk factors for cancer and other diseases, as well as less access to high-quality health care, largely because of inadequate health insurance.

The overall mortality disparity has existed for centuries. Racism drives some of the key social determinants of health, like lower levels of income and generational wealth; less access to healthy food, water and public spaces; environmental damage; overpolicing and disproportionate incarceration; and the stresses of prolonged discrimination.

But the health care system also plays a part in this disparity. Research shows Black Americans receive less and lower-quality care for conditions like cancer, heart problems, pneumonia, pain management, prenatal and maternal health, and overall preventive health. During the pandemic, this racial longevity gap seemed to grow again after narrowing in recent years.

Among all people on Earth people of color have the greatest need for effective medicine.

Introduce medicinal mushrooms to your diet

Mushrooms are proven potent medicines that can treat and prevent an array of illnesses

The Solution: Incorporating Medicinal Mushrooms

In addition to positive lifestyle changes like exercise, eliminating chemical exposure, and dietary discipline the inclusion of medicinal mushrooms in ones diet has been proven to have significant benefits. Numerous studies have shown that regular consumption of certain mushroom species as either a regular food or as extracted compounds (nutriceuticals) is effective in both preventing and treating specific diseases, mainly through immunopotentiation and antioxidant activity. Thus, the intake of mushrooms and their extractable bioactive compounds appears to be effective in cancer prevention and growth inhibition. Another important fact is the certainty that mushroom extracts, compared with other drugs, show a very low toxicity when regularly consumed, even in high dosages. While the historical and traditional usage of the medicinal mushrooms, especially in the Far East, is extremely extensive, attention is given in the following sections to a few of the modern approaches that have been verified in the last three decades by accurate scientific and medicinal studies.
